HR Breakfast Seminar at Penn Foundation

Heather McCloskey recently presented an informative breakfast session geared to HR professionals at the Penn Foundation in Sellersville, PA on November 3, 2010. She discussed the necessary tools to create and encourage healthy workplace boundaries, to foster a professional and productive work environment and to ensure that business practices are legally defensible.

Highlights of session included:

  • Being an employee’s friend vs. being a company leader

  • Balancing friendly working relationships with maintaining respect of employees

  • Defining professional, interpersonal and personal boundaries

  • Ramifications of violating boundaries, weak boundaries or no boundaries

  • Importance of leading by example (office gossip, happy hour, etc.)

Heather McCloskey recently spoke to job-seekers at the 50+ Expo sponsored by Lifetime Expos on October 27th, 2010 at the University and Whist Club in Wilmington, DE. She addressed the audience about leveraging their talents, skills, abilities and passion to get the job they want. She also advised them how to create a resume that will get them noticed and hopefully land that perfect job!

Women Transitioning Back to Work

McCloskey Partners team members Heather McCloskey and Denise Hackendahl recently volunteered as subject matter experts at the NBC 10 Studio’s “Survive and Thrive: Women Transitioning Back to Work” event hosted by Tracy Davidson on October 19th, 2010 at NBC 10 Studios in Bala Cynwyd. The entire evening was dedicated to helping women prepare to successfully re-enter the job market!
